Check for abnormal hair loss!
After each time you wash and blow-dry your hair, the hair in the drain and on the
ground comes to a handful. It can really make people anxious! You should observe
your hair from several aspects to see if you are at high-risk of abnormal hair loss:
A. Amount of hair loss :
The average adult loses about 50 to 100 hairs a day. If you
lose more than this amount for a prolonged period of time, it may be abnormal hair
loss.
B. Lifestyle :
Have you been under huge amounts of stress lately? Have you been
smoking or drinking too much? Are you experiencing postpartum hormonal
changes?
C. Shampooing method :
Observe whether you are in the habit of pouring shampoo
directly onto your head and using your scalp as a platform for lathering. If you are,
and you don't rinse properly, the pores of your scalp will be prone to blockage,
causing abnormal hair loss.
D. Long-term/excessive dyeing and perming :
The chemicals and dyes used for dyeing
and perming hair contain hydrogen peroxide, which is an oxidizer and the number 1
culprit of scalp aging. When the scalp is exposed to it often, the chances of hair loss
will naturally increase.
If the four points mentioned above pertain to you, then be proactive and take
measures as soon as you can to protect your scalp. In addition to reducing scalp
irritation and getting rid of bad habits such as perming/dyeing your hair or not
shampooing properly, you can also help the scalp enhance its ability to repair itself
by using peptides derived from lactoferrin, so that your hair has a good environment
to grow!
